Good to see you're finally on here, Paige. What weight did we remove from the engine? When we saved a couple pounds going to the older style intake?

What?! lame! that sucks... One of my friends hit an ice chunk on the road and it did the same thing.
Glad it was an easy fix tho.

your car is pretty sick! I haven't made any progress with my eg33 yet. I am working out obdII compliance requirements before I start wrenching. I'm also contemplating turbos and hybrid blocks.

Totally changing dirrections and turboing my car. Right now I'm collecting parts.
Trying to decide what turbo to use for my 5psi project. Cant decide between my td04 and a vf11

Showing off the interior changes, running oil temp, pressure, and boost/vacuum.

Test fitting and looking at clearances. Discovered I need to move my a/c line because it will interfere with the downpipe.

why are you running an OEM downpipe?

Soul Shinobi
06-25-2011, 03:08 PM
Because I said I won't work on his car or be his friend if he doesn't have a cat because I like breathing air slightly more than I like driving cars. And because fitment is easy.

Up pipe being fabbed by Kinetic Motorworks
when I get the car back the fun part of plumbing can begin

SeriousSubaru
11-30-2011, 06:41 PM
car comes home tomorrow. Shop called and informed me that they pimped my uppipe (full SS mandrel bent w/ custom mounting brackets)

Tomorrow the build will start I guess. No snow in the forecast so I can keep driving my porsche.

anyways here is my hit list for tomorrow:
-install ghetto rrfpr (till I save up for e-man)
-install fuel pump
-tap the valve cover for oil return
-t-off coolant lines
-install new up pipe
-install turbo
-install down pipe
-figure out what I still need for my intercooler (custom y-pipe, BOV/BPV, couplings)
-lay out my intake

SeriousSubaru
12-06-2011, 02:29 PM
so close yet so far away.....

plumbed everything for the turbo. Bolted up the custom uppipe..... went to put the turbo in place annnnnnnd this:

BOOOOOSH! 45* rotated turbo set up!

what I wanted was a stock turbo location and orientation.

So I have been super busy with my car while I have been away.
Converted to rear wheel drive.
Blew up the motor by hydro locking it
picked up an engine from some on the site
found everything I needed to finish my turbo build
oh changed over to coilovers

I also came up with a huge list of things i want to do to it in the future. Few things to prep it for some mad drifting!
