View Full Version : lost my shims for the brakes....

somehow i lost my shims for the brake shoes when i replaced them a while back. now they bounce and make all kinds of racket when im not using them (brakes). im talking about the thin metal pieces that have the clips (or prongs) that slide into the caliper behind the shoes to keep them tight when not in use.
i plan on ordering them and want to make sure i got the right parts...

rock auto has them for cheaper but i figure it would be easier to post that link instead.

most brake pads have shims on them already or at least my hawk pads did.

Buy a set from your local parts store. They are called anti-rattle shims.
