ProjectLGT97's 97 LGT Turbo Project

Hey guys,

Its been awhile since I have made a post on here. When I first joined I had a 97 GT wagon... but I just recently purchased a Black 97 GT Sedan to swap my turbo setup from my impreza into. It has been a somewhat slow going project but we're getting there! I picked the car up in Virginia this summer, stripped it, got it painted and rust removed, and am working on the reassembly process now. Hopefully she'll be done in the spring... School and the girlfriend are taking priority right now :roll: :lol:

Pretty light mod list for now. Future plans are larger rear sway bars and end links, adjustable lateral links, BC coilovers etc etc. I plan to use the car mainly for track duty and time trials. Anyways here are some pictures from when I first got it to where she stands today.

This is one heck of a combo! If I were going to build a turbo Subaru, that's how I'd do it. This thing is going to be STRONG!!!

Thanks guys. I have already had this setup in my impreza on ~16lbs of boost. I did not replace the rods yet so thats where I'd like to keep it for now... Rods are certainly on the list for the near future!

Thanks. It runs pretty well. I need to snag a catch can for the PCV system but other than that its not too bad. I also need to work on tuning fuel... Right now it is incredibly rich.

Sooo... been awhile since I updated this since I was finishing up school for the summer. Long story short I spun a bearing in the 22t, no worries though! The short block will be back this week wiiiith Manley H beams, Wiseco pistons and ACL race bearings... Pics to come!

Not sure yet... I would like to get a transmission axles and rear diff that can support some serious power before i go too crazy. Probably just 16 psi for now.
