Custom snowboard rack

I'm looking to make/find a rack that I can mount on top of my roof basket that will hold 2 snowboards vertically instead of the traditional horizontal style. Has anyone seen anything like this or have any suggestions on making one?

Heres a pic of my basket. I wanna mount it on the side so I could may be even make two. Each one would hold two boards bottom to bottom. The idea seems simple I just don't have much fabbing experience so I'm trying to think of something unorthodox that could be used for the purpose I need it for.

Thats the plan, I just gotta come up with something on my own since all the stuff you can buy is made for standard issue horizontal roof racks.
