Which clutch will work

Okay i have a 95 subaru legacy 2.2 mt.

I'm doing a hybrid build (2.2 heads/2.5 bottom) and not sure what clutch to get.

Im clueless what parts fits what, do i need to get the clutch for the trans or do i need to get the clutch for the motor?

Oh and im looking to get a stage 1 clutch, heading towards exedy.

Match the clutch to the trans, 2.2 trans and 2.5 trans do use different clutces. To make you get the right one get the serial # off the trans and google it to make sure someone didn't replace the trans or something.

^ they do have different part numbers (the 2.5 clutch disk is slightly larger than the one for a 2.2), but a 2.5 clutch will work with a 2.2 cable trans with no modifications, which opens up the door to many more clutch options!

keep in mind when i say 2.5 i mean NA 2.5. the clutches for the turbo 2.5 vehicles will not work.
