hey guys, i've had a weird problem with my legacy lately. it all started when i accidentally left my map light on over night. the next morning the car started and ran fine. the day after that it would not start, so i suspected the battery had drained and the cold weather pushed it over the edge. i charged it and ran it and now this problem has developed after running fine right after the charge: the car will start fine, starter doesn't sound weak, but if i apply the brakes, the instruments zero out as if there was a huge voltage dip. in addition to that, when i turned on my headlights tonight the car began to misfire and lurch violently when pulling from a stop. i had to turn the lights off just to sit at red lights. the car ran fine once it gained speed and i could turn the lights back on, but something is def not right. i'd like to think it's a dead battery, but the fact that the starter works fine confuses me. could it still be the battery? or perhaps grounding contacts or a short?
any info would be appreciated :smt017
