Nothing too bad though. I was going slow so it didn't do too much damage. I have the bumper off and I am going to try to push the dent out. I'll need a new drivers headlight because the tabs broke of, I suppose they were brittle from the cold. The hood has a little dent in it, I don't know what I'm gonna do with that...

well some good news, the dent in the bumper came out easily and clean, there is only a small crease about 1/2 an inch.
And I would appreciate it if anyone has a headlight I could buy off of them (for cheap of course :wink:).

It looks like I am also going to need a new bumper beam, I thought I could get away with it, but it is bent too much and the bumper cover won't fit properly. So does anyone know where I can get one for cheap. I'm gonna check out the local junk yards on Monday, and I found one new one online for $130 + shipping. Can anyone find a better deal?

Thankfully nothing major, my car was officially dent-free for a grand total of 5 months, I guess it likes looking that way. :neutral:

No other cars were involved and most importantly my best friend and I came out of it unscathed, we ended up continuing our trip that day...oh and the car didn't fare too badly either; paint off the bumper (same spot that was already dinged ironically), a hairline crack on the tailight and a 1" dent around the quarter panel and that trim below the light. Had the car up on the lift today and it got a clean bill of health for me to drive it in Cincy tomorrow.

But I did just order a new headlight off amazon for $45 including shipping. Does anyone know where I can get the bumper beam now? Have you tried SUPER breaker-bar for the rebar/bumper beam.. its a cheap-o trick I did for customers when they couldn't pay for new/used parts.. You take a large bar of steel and slide a 12" into the side of the beam and pull and straighten the bumper beam. It helps when someones on the brakes :-D

Call a local autobody shop and ask them for an aftermarket head light there usually made by "TYC" and fit 98% compared to OEM. Should be around $100 or try the salvage yard.

Well I didn't try the huge breaker bar, but I did try 165hp :lol: I hooked a chain around it and drove backwards and it hardly moved at all. The problem is I hit it where it attaches to the frame so its not just the beam that is bent but that bracket is smashed up and folded in on itself. Granted I didn't try too hard, I didn't jerk it or anything, but still it didn't budge.

And I did get one of thoes TYC headlights from Amazon. Thanks for the tips.

be careful with the chain + drive.. you can blow out a window or bend your frame.. those are shaddy body shop tactics right there..

If you know someone who has oxygen / acetaline torches you can heat the bar up bend it with the super breaker bar method to a decent point where the bumper can line up.. or just call a scrap yard / junk yard.
