does any1 know what computer or chip for sure i could get to beef up my legacy i found a mines chipped computer are these any good i want to run some bigger injectors and up my boost. i noticed that the hoses in my engine bay bd5 rs 1995 are numbered and was wondering also if any1 knew where to conect a gfb boost tap i dont want to run insane boost levels althoug ive been told a standard ej20h can handle 20 psi is this true

there are plenty of different chipped ecu's available on ebay/yahoo japan etc. Blitz, mines, zero sport, prova etc all made them, they're generally plug and play and are tuned for fuel, timing, boost level etc. some may require minor mods such as 3" tb exhaust, larger intercooler etc but generally are ok to plug into a stock car. I had an Eifel chipped STI RA ecu in my car that was good for almost 200kw with a front mount, 3" exhaust and increased boost to 18psi. I don't know of anyone who's upgraded to a chipped ecu and has come to regret it.

i'd look into an electronic boost controller over a bleed valve. much more stable.

thanks for that are these compat with the twin turbo engine. i noticed you said you have a sti ra ecu are you running a single turbo engine my computer is a four plug ecu for twin turbo ej20hdwaje engine if that helps

My GT has been converted to single turbo but yeah mate you'll be able to find a chipped ecu for every turbo subaru, single or twin.
