Hello everyone,

I would like to install fog lights on my 2001 Legacy L sedan. The L models do not come stock with fog lights so I need to get the whole kit. The link below is what I believe is all the parts I need, is this correct? Does anyone have a write up on how to install the fog lights and what is the difficult level?

https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/prod ... cts_id=151 (https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/product_info.php?cPath=31_41&products_id=151)

Also I intend on swapping to the 03-04 bumper with projector fogs and I would like to know if they would simply plug and play into the 00-02 fog light wiring and etc... If I had to buy the entire 03-04 harness, relay, and etc to make them work then I may hold off until I swap bumpers.

Thanks for the help.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that most OEM kits like this have instructions included with them.

Good point, I want to know how the process works before I buy it. My main concern is whether or not it DOES include everything... And if when I swap to the 03-04 bumper, wehther the new projector fogs will be plug and play...

from what i understand it is a royal pain to switch out the bumpers. its not a simple buying the bumper and painting it sorta thing. i guess you pretty much have to switch out the entire support system as well (sorry i dont know what they are called) or i could be entirely wrong but that is what i have heard. just something to keep in mind.

I believe that is only if you are putting a JDM bumper on a USDM car... I know ndto and 00legacy have done the 03-04 bumper swap and I am pretty sure all they swapped was the bumper cover itself... Maybe someone who has done this will confirm this...

if it is indeed that easy i am all over it. the newer bumpers are a lot cooler. i remember being interested in it when i first got my car but then i got dissuaded somehow.... i remember reading somewhere it is a huge hassle. tho as i said its entirely possible im crazy and made it up in my head so i wouldnt spend the money haha
