This diy is for making a heat shield for a short ram intake. This will keep the air cooler around the air filter which creates a cooler charge in the engine which create a more complete burn.
I am not responsable for you damaging your car in this process. But you shoudnt be able to mess anything up.
Stuff needed
Jig saw with metal blade
rubber malet
marker
spray glue
18x24 sheet of alumminum
3/4 inch pipe wrap
2 self taping screw
I reccomend that you start off with a cardboard templete because not all cars will be the same and you will need to adjust it.
here are the deminsions.

After making your template trace it on to the aluminum with a marker and cut it out with a jig saw or whatever else you have. remember to make shure it clears the lines going to the ABS system.
Then set it over a block of wood and out it where the bends are and hit it with a rubber malet or hammer whatever you have is fine, until you get it at the correct angle.

Now you can start wraping it in foam, i bought a 6 foot piece from lowes for 2 bucks. you can start wherever you like but cut out the foam in the corners so it can go around. now you can use spray glue around the edges to atach the foam.

Now you can make an L bracket and use a self taping screw to screw it into the shield and frame, this is optional you dont have to do this but i did for extra security.

Make shure its not rubbing any of the lines and now you can put it in and put your intake back in place.
The final product.
