Orange piece in headlamp mod

can anyone tell me how to get that orange piece out of my headlamp housing?........2000 legacy gt.....thanks

STick them in the oven at a low tem (100-150 F) for 10-15 minutes. Pry them apart and remove the orange, then stick them back together. You may want to use some extra caulking to seal them better

what kinda caulk was it, black RTV?
