Hey guys and gals,
I have just purchased a 1997 Legacy Outback (203,xxx)...body is in great shape...there is a strange sound coming from the engine compartment...I'll get to that later...I actually found a youtube video of a 1998 Forester starting up that had the same sound...nonetheless...Here's the issue...when I bought it, the automatic door locks weren't working...It is a little inconvenient, but while I was replacing the radio over the weekend I took a look at the fusebox...the fuse for the door locks had been pulled...I put it in and the auto door locks worked...but the four-way flashers came on...and wouldn't cut off until I pulled the fuse...Since this is my first Subaru I'm not sure why the parking lights would begin flashing unless the lights flash when the key fob (which doesn't work) is pressed to lock or unlock the doors.
Is there a way to disable the flashing lights or should I just leave it alone and keep using the key to unlock the doors?
