4EAT Fluid recommendations?

I am going to be doing my front/rear differentials with 75-90w royal purple gear oil.

What about the transmission? It takes something like 6-7qt's if you drain it. IIRC.

I don't mind spending a little extra to have good oils.

1) Tranny - Redline ATF D4 (12 Qts)
2) Front Diff - Redline 75W90NS
3) Rear Diff - Redline Shockproof Heavyweight or Redline 75W90NS

You would recommend Redline over Royal Purple for the diffs?

And about the 12qt's that would be for a full flush. Which since I do not know how the transmission was maintained before I got the car I don't want to do a flush.

Should I change the transmission filter pan thing? lol

Also I only see 75-140 for the "NS"

After trying a bunch of different fluids, here's what I recommend:

Any ATF that meets your manufacturer recommended grade for viscosity and a bottle of LubeGard ATF protectant.
And a flush is really just a forced drain and refill, several times.
You can easily do it yourself by draining the AT a couple of times.

Anyone shed some more light on Royal Purple VS Redline. I cannot find Redline products local to me. I can get RP though.

Link doesn't work unless you put in your zipcode and a preferred shop, but yes, that is Lubegard ATF Protectant.

I would never bother with RP unless you're beating on the car frantically. Same with Redline. I only used both at one point because I had a contact that could get both at the same price as conventional stuff from the auto store. Was it worth it? Maybe, but not at RRP$$.

Sounds good. I will just get what I can local. The Castrol crap I put in the car this last time made it shift much worse. So I will give either RP or Redline a shot in the trans.

And get me some of the Lubegard. Looks like that is about 1/3 qt.
