I had been looking for a pair of projector headlights, saw a pair on ebay, seller started the auction at .01 cent, with a buy it now of $149 and no reserve. Shipping was $79.99 from Japan. Seems like projectors alway go for $100 with $100 shipping all the time. So I threw a bid of $61 just for fun-sies and I ended up getting them for $20.50 so $100.50 total. :smt023
They showed up today, woot!!
So I've read all the posts on wiring them up, I think I'll try and build a harness from plugs at work (Nissan parts dept).
Here's my only question, anyone remove the orange bulb cover in the coner? Don't want to bake them and take apart. I was wondering if I could knock it out with a screw driver, hopefully into little pieces and dump the pieces out of the bulb holes. Then put in one of those Sylvania bulbs that look clear but blink amber. Anyone do this yet?
Thanks,
Captain

Just bake it. Youll end up scratching something otherwise.

^ i know right, i was watching them, but then forgot to check back on them to bid before it was over, i was pissed when i saw them go for so cheap. i have been trying to get a set for less than $150 for about a year now and keep getting out bid.

Yup! Huffers right. although you could get away with using plastic tools with a dull point on them but your going to have to excessive force and may crack the lens.

Opps, sorry for outbidding a couple of my peers. If it makes you feel better, one lens had a tiny crack on the edge outside the glued area. So I'll super glue that before install. And they need some lens buffing to look good.
I'll look at the orange piece a bunch of different ways before I commit to taking it out.
