Windshield glare

Okay...my first Subaru and I drive into the morning and afternoon sun...east and then west...and the glare off the instrument cluster hood is making me crazy...there have been terrifying moments when I can't see through it...the dash had been shined prior to be buying...I asked a local dealership about the probllem..."clean off the shine" was offered...I did...it helped some...but only a little...is this some kind of design flaw and are there any suggestions on how to deal with it.? :?:

or apply a thin carpet layer to the top of your dash.
or dust it with baby powder

Or make sure your windshield is super clean.

Polarized sunglasses! And maybe rainx on the windshield if that impairs your vision too

you could get a dash mat.

I had this problem a lot then I found this combination. I like to use the cleaning wipes from ArmorAll. They have a small shine and keep your windshield clean inside / rain-x outside. you can also buff out your shine with a microfiber cloth until your liking. good luck.
