so it took me a long time to find any info on how to replace this fuel pump for ...1995 subarus are really an oddity, all the parts are expensive, but for earlier and later years, inexpensive...
replacing the fuel pump was an adventure...
the replacement pump is smaller than the oem, and the grommets dont fit to exact specs.
the cover to the pump area is not under the seat but in the trunk near the back rest that pulls forward.
replacements require you to cut wires, replacement has a yedlow wire that is hooked to the red wire and black to black.
so i have added pics to show how i did the replacement...hope this helps the next person.
remove batt cables
12mm socket
6/7/8mm wrench
plyers
wire crimpers
wire cutters
go slow and be careful...
