Leaky Moonroof.

I didn't see a sunroof / moonroof area so i dumped it here. I have a leaky moonroof when it is really rainy it will wet the head board near the joint of the passenger side sun visor. I suspect a clogged drainage pipe. What is the best way to diagnose it or clean the tube / pipe out?

Had this problem, took off the headliner and you will see where the moonroof has two draining hoses on both the driver and passenger side. I took a metal clothes hanger and pull out a ton of leaves and debris. Not a hard task but just alot of work. So in the picture you can see the blue pvc hose I pulled that off of where it is connected and hook the metal hanger and work outside to push all the gunk out. Good luck.

You can also hook up an air compressor to the end of the pipe and blow air down it to push more gunk out.
It's also work taking off your front fender liner to make sure the drain is clear too.

I can't wait till my sun roof stops working so I can have it removed entirely and replaced with a pop-up style one. I'll save 100lbs.

i was thinking of using a compressor but didn't want to blow off the tube from the housing. even though you would save 100 lbs. I still don't like the look of the pop up ones. I'm going to stick with my in roof.

I've fixed a few GT's with leaky sun roofs.. Usually its just the tube came loose and needs to be put back on.. Simple...

You can pull your A-pillar plastic covers right off just find an edge and yank.. don't pull to hard though you may break a pressure clip. Once the pillar cover is removed you can just pull back your head liner and check out the issue.

oh removing the visors/rear view mirror helps pull back the liner evenly if you don't want creases in the liner. Its 3 Philips screws to remove the visors and mirror :-D

Going to have to check mine, get a mystery leak out of the plastic trim up around the sunroof glass. Then drips down and pools on the ledge around headliner, drips right on me happened a couple times and am like WTF.

It ended up being the windshield not the moon roof. The weather stripping was dry rotted and leaking. Windshield cracked on a trip and it got replace and no more leak!
