I found a Legacy on Craigslist that I have found interest in. And I may want to trade my truck for it. But what I am worried about is the tranny. Here is what he said, "Only issue with the car is that when it's really cold the car will stay in first gear. Drive the car about a quarter mile to warm it up, or just let it warm up and it shifts just fine. This is a non issue when it's warm outside."
That is my biggest concern. How much would it cost to get that fixed? Cause my truck is valued in around the $3000 range and I don't wanna let my truck go if the tranny is gonna be a problem

I take this is a automatic trans then. I would first suspect a dirty / heavy fluid. Ask him to flush it and put the correct fluid in it.

Yeah, Forgot to mention it's an AUTO tranny
And I'll have him try that.

rear wiper not work either? (looks like in picture). also depends on how the guy drives, if he drives slow it might stay in first. also remember auto trans learn how you drive if you granny it then beat it, it will shift weird. vise verse.. anyways i wouldnt offer really more then $1300 for the car, one no gt wheels, rear bummer/quater messed up, no radio/cigarettelighter/tray, wiring hanging from kick panel, rear wiper not working, and the supposed trans issue
