Says they're for GD Imprezas, which have McPherson struts all around (you have McPherson front and compact multilink rears which are way shorter).

I know how to read.
I also know that a lot of Subaru stuff is interchangeable, which is why I asked.

I know how to read.
well then read... this has been covered many many times on this forum, even since I have joined.
The fronts on our cars are interchangable with others but the rears are not interchangeable with anything, although I have heard from some that BL/BP rears work and I have heard from some they don't.

This is exactly why I just ask the questions most of the time even if they've been "covered," because most people's answers are contradictory of each others. Just wanted info on M2 springs, which is why I asked.
Thank you mike-tracy! I may get them...can I possibly cut the rears down?

They won't fit. The rear suspension design is completely different. Cutting springs is dangerous and stupid, and I believe the rear springs on the multilink suspension are considerably smaller diameter than the strut ones.
So, don't buy them. They won't fit.

Here's more for you to read, this has be discussed more than once. The info is on the site, and if you are worried about past answers contradicting each other why would it be different now?
Cutting these in hope that they will fit is a waste of time, money and possibly compromise safety.

Yep, they're just not going to work. Do yourself a favor and look for springs specific to the BE/BH platform. H&R still make them for your car, and they're pretty good. Check out sansMYsti's member thread.

Erm, no again. Unless it's from a Legacy STI, from the BE/BH generation they will not fit.
You have to learn yourself some more about your rear suspension design - it's the first generation/model that Subaru used a multi-link design. The only other car since 2000 to have this is the newer 2010 Impreza. All current (2010+) Subaru's are now multilink (IIRC). Prior to that, they were all Macpherson struts EXCEPT your car - 2000-2004 Legacy BE/BH.
