So, i wrecked my car.... about 45 mph, took a turn, jumped the curb, and stoped while my front end is buried in the side of a tree. The car is fixed at a local shop (if your in the Albany, Ga area, check out Charlie's Garage, really good people, shameless plug) . I drive back to Colorado and everything was fine. I then drove up from Denver to Estes. Now, the car's idling low (about/under 750 RPM's), and there is a real shake when I stop at a light. I also have a problem with turning. When i turn with speed (over 20 mpr) there is no problem, but anything under that, there is a bad thump. Its a sound like the tires are hitting the inside of the tire well, and the more you drive, the worse it is. Is this a problem with my Rotors, my axles, my rack-and-pinion, or the suspention? Any help rocks. 2004 Subaru Outback, 4cylinder, manual trans., IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO???
Thanks, more than you know,
The Deej

Sounds to me like CV's going bad. Time to get some new axles. Does it do it either way you turn or just a certain direction?
As for shaking...maybe motor mounts.

i had the same problem with my '94 Legacy wagon... it ended up being the passenger side axle. the boot gave out and i had to push the car home... LOL!! but the good thing, the axle was only like $65 after the core charge and it only took about an hour to install at my house. good luck.

Its both sides, but its not all the time, i drove it around town here all day without any problems at all. But the other day when i came back from Fort Collins, driving at a regular speed of 50 mph, it starts as soon as i pull into a lot and drive slow

hmmm, it could still be what i had wrong with my Legacy, course i should tell you that mine is a lowly FWD model!! maybe you have mud/snow caked inside your rims or maybe you need an alignment?
