Is anyone using one of these?

I already have headers and an STI axleback that I plan to put on the Outback, debating on whether getting
one of these is worth it, rather than just having the muffler shop do all the work.

I looked into it once but it seemed like they were too expensive to be worth it, $90 should be plenty to replace the flanges with something else at a decent exhaust shop. It only cost me $150 (labor) to have all the piping made from scratch for my catback. Plus you'll still need to move the hangers.

I have a line on one for $50. I think I read you have to use the whole WRX/STI catback (not just the axleback), so you'd have to lengthen the midpipe from the donor exhaust regardless, and as you said have the hangars moved around.

I had an 06 STi axleback, custom midpipe all installed and hangers reworked for $150 + 2hour wait.
Flange adapter isn't worth it unless you're a butterfly and can't make up your mind.
Also - the Impreza midpipe is shorter, and that means you either have to lengthen the midpipe, or the tailpipe. If you go custom, it's built to fit with one single part, flanged correctly and bolts to the exhaust of your choice.

I lol'd. Yeah I decided to have my axleback modified to work with the outback's midpipe and have the tailpipe extended. Prob will get it done next week if I get my school money.
