98 lgt 5speed
both of my fans are always on and its killing my gas mileage specially this cold climate.
its been like that since i bought the car 2 years ago.
the a/c switch is not on
everytime it sees ignition both of the fan on hi speed i believe is on instantly, so its taking longer to warm up

any help is appreciated, thanks

Do you have a check engine light? I would assume you have a coolant temperature sensor that needs to be replaced, or a stuck relay. Even possibly a bad ecu!

ok just got done replacing the coolant temp sensor (two prong) and its still doing the same thing. i also notice two other sensor for the coolant. one (one prong) is by the crank sensor, i think this is for the gauge and the other is near the cts that i replaced and it has one prong. could this be the fan switch?

The one by the crank sensor is the oil press switch.

Does your cel come on with the key on/engine off?
