Just got a killer deal on new 2011 wrx take-offs. They are 17x8 53 offset. What can I run for tire size with no problems? Stock suspension.

same bolt pattern. I recomend dumping the car, rolling the fenders and running a clean low pro tire. lol.

I agree with the bolt pattern are the early type 5x100 pcd and after 2004 they changed too 114x5 pcd or thats the case in the uk

Only the STi got the 114.3x5 wheels here in the US and we didn't get them until 2005. All other Imprezas are 5x100.

yup. I knew the bolt pattern was good. Just wondering on tire size with the 8" width and 53 offset. Any ideas?

8" wide, you might as well have the fenders rolled for safe measure...

Well, after much measuring and guesstimating, I decided to go with a 225/45. I don't think I could have gone wider. there is probably about 1/4 - 3/8" between the tire and the strut base. Don't think I'll have a prob with the fenders. Man these wheels look nice on this car!!! I'll try to post up some pics in the next couple days.

the offset is a little higher (ie towards the center of the car) than what most 8" aftermarket wheels use, so you are sacrificing some tire width options there, but you can't beat 8" width wheels. 225 tires are a pretty good compromise between sidewall stiffness and contact patch for that width so it's a good deal.
