Trans flare and delayed engagement

I noticed recently the transmission on my 2000 Impreza OB is flaring slightly between gears and kickdowns. It also has a slight delay engagement in Drive.

I think this started after I replaces a trans cooler line that was leaking. When I pulled the old line off, I crimped the hard line. I thought I got the crimp out pretty well, but could these problems be due to restricted flow of fluid?

Increasing or reducing fluid pressure will directly affect your shifts. Change the kinked line, flush your transmission fluid, and change the transmission filter.
