I remember playing coin-op arcade games growing up as a kid and later as a teenager.
Some of my favorite arcade classics include:
Roadblasters
Outrun
Shinobi
Altered Beast
Turbo Outrun
Virtua Racing
Daytona Racing
Cruisin USA

Yes a full blown arcade unit. I know I can google it and find plenty I've done it before. Im just wondering if anyone dealt with a place and or knows of a place with good prices and assortments. There's a local place here but I don't like the stuff he has, and his prices are high for poor condition machines.

Do you have "Playdium" in the states? if you do they should have an outlet where all there retired games go on sale for the public.. Other than that if you find someone who deals with Pinball machines then most likely they deal with the Cabinets..
I got mine from a privateer who repairs them on his spare time. The only mod I did to the cabinet was install a 22" LCD with a converter attached to it..
:-D no more eye fatigue.

daaayum. I want one even though i wasnt old enough these were big and my parents thought arcades were a waste of money since we had an NES / SNES

Yup.. i went through the same.... I even had a chance to get a random cabinet when I was 13 but my parents said no dice.... Same with a trampoline :-(
Either way I split the cabinet with my roomate.. $500 cabinet + $80 LCD + $40 CRT->LCD converter.. $620 total.. Not that bad in the end.. Plus with the LCD mounted there was lots of room for me to mount a Pentium 4 small pc in the back with a usb to arcade adapter so I run everything from MAME to SNES
Its the same kind of feeling when middle aged men buy there child hood dream car.... I am not at that point but the cabinet just made sense..
