View Full Version : Fun with my exhaust!

So we finally had a break in the weather (38 degrees). Long story short I got one bolt off the catalytic converter, stripped the other and may need stitches on my face. I ran out of light and went at it half ass. So I will finish up Tuesday when I have Tuesday off. I will hit up Subaru and replace the bolts and pick up some anti-seize. I'll post up pics when I'm done :?

Yea it was horrible, The rust on the exhaust was worst on my Legacy then on my 89 CRX.

Tip for exhaust bolts man, cut or drill them out, not worth it at all trying to fight them. Just go pick up some new ones after, way easier.
Peace,
Kyle

I picked up new bolts and some anti-seize today. I have this Tuesday off and will continue the ordeal. I will take one more crack at the bolt, if it won't come off I will drill or cut it.

Oh yea no stitches, nothing a butterfly band aid can't handle. :D

Oh yea it's all set. I got lucky and scored a lift and a garage. A guy I know owns a shop. He caught wind I was trying to do this with 12"s of space and told me to come by and use his lift. Took me 20 mins to switch it up and drive back out of the bay. Damn I need to get a lift for my house for sure.

As for looks, Thumbs up. Performance? Didn't notice any, I still have to reset the ECU, and I had my buddy with me so more weight is BAD. Sound? WOT pretty much the same (with the intake) down low it has a slight rumble and won't attract COPS. I think the whole setup will be clean with a Borla header and Stromung high flow cat. Pics to come when I get batteries in my camera.

I haven't been around much lately or really paying attention, what exhaust did you put on? axleback or further?
Peace,
Kyle
