Well It did when I left to go to home depot..

Long story short I needed to go to home depot to pick some stuff up.... Ok so I go and I wait at a few lights before getting on the highway.. No issues.. I get on the ramp and I noticed the car felt kinda laggy but not to the point like I felt like I was going to stall or anything like that..

Ok I got to HD 5 min later and shop around and 5 min later I come out to leave and I go to start the car... It tries to stay running but sputters and dies.. and dies on giving gas to btw.. So i try about 5 more times and at that time it was no more sputtering but just crank and die.

I'm thinking bad fuel pump? I wont be able to check till morning.. I dunno if it's fuel line freeze since it is 18F here and will be 8F tomorrow.

Any suggestions? I was going to check for fuel pump output tomorrow.

just went outside and connected the green connections.. I hear the fuel relay working and SB1 and SB2 under the hood are good..

I tested the pump connections and I see a quick battery voltage every time the fuel relay turns on but I hear no pump in the tank.

I'm looking at rock auto here now for pumps.. a lot of them seem to have one with two wires (black & red) and one with a plug in connection.. while I haven't pulled my assembly yet does anyone know off hand what type it is?

just to be 100% sure I checked the line going to the fuel filter and no flow.

Looks like it's time to find a replacement pump.. everyone says they don't hardly go out but mine is out at 235k

If you have power to the pump and no flow at the inlet to the fuel filter, then the pump is likely bad. They are easy to replace on Subarus, should be an access panel either under the rear seat or just behind it.

On rock auto, you are likely seeing universal and direct fit pumps. Direct fit is most likely the one with the connector. Worst case, if the one with the connector comes with a new connector, you can just wire it in.
