I have an ej20 and am not familiar with the vacuum lines. I have it hooked up like this. Is this correct? Its a turbosmart bleed off type.

Does your turbo look like this with a T-connector?

Here is another example:

stock it doesnt. it had 2 seperate hoses going to the factory boost controller, then on going out the bottom back in the intake.

Hose from the nipple on the intake side of the turbo went to the top of the stock boost control. Hose from the wastegate went to the side of the stock boost control. Then theres a hose that comes out of the bottom of the stock boost control that recirculates to the intake.

So the diagram is correct.. just put the t-connector on and your good.

No reason to change. If you connected it properly the MBC should bleed off of regulate your boost.
Simple business !

I like the Turbo XS RFL in recirculated mode. Great if you like things subtle.

I had someone tell me that any noise making BOV I put on there will shorten my turbo and engine life and also robs HP.
Still need a suggestion for a fuel cut defender though.
Unless you have a totally crappy BOV that doesn't do it's job I don't see how it will shorten the life of the turbo. However a atmospheric venting BOV will vent air out of the intake that has already been accounted for by your MAF so you're going to run rich whenever it operates, which is suboptimal.
