hey guys i need your help i recently got back from a long trip putting over 800 miles on it in two days it was a ton of fun but now i have a check engine light on but oddly enough it seems to be running better. before i had a ticking and i thought is could be a bearing starting to go but now it isn't there but the check engine light is. now i am in need of figuring out what is wrong. i just need to figure out how to pull the codes. i am driving a 2000 legacy gt with a phase II 2.5 SOHC block with phase II SOHC 2.2 heads. thanks for your help and time. -Uriah

Go to an autoparts place like O'Riely's or Autozone and ask to use their OBD II scanner. They'll help you out the rest of the way.

How the heck did you end up with a 2.5L SOHC engine with 2.2L SOHC heads?
