my car is pretty rust free, except for the rear hatch struts and where the struts holds in place. i know i can replace the struts but what i am concerned about is the little mounting points on the body of the car looks like they are on a ball it almost looks like. when the hatch goes up and down i can see the struts actually almost swivel where they go into the body, i dont think that is normal. anyone know know to find out how much rust is on there without damaging something that will probably be expensive to fix. and how would i go about removing the rust? thanks in advance.
