View Full Version : Windshield washer sprayer

I've seemed to have lost 99% of my pressure on my passengers side Windshield washer sprayer. I have unhooked the hose and sprayed air up it to clear it and it still has no pressure. My drivers one has awesome pressure, but no fluid ever gets to the passenger side. Any ideas?

Have you tried cleaning out both the hose and the nozzle itself? Could be the T-connector too.

You could start by unplugging the hose where it goes into the nozzle and see if you are getting washer fluid to that point and if you are you know it has to be the nozzle

I've used a tip cleaner (for a torch) and start with the smallest one so you don't enlarge the hole in the nozzle, doesn't take much to clog them up.Sometimes you have to come in from the back side and clean the debris out or it will just keep clogging it up.

Blowing air in the same direction as the fluid goes won't clear the nozzle because the hole is to small, if anything you want to blow the air in the opposite direction.

if it is the nozzle itself new ones at autozone are 5bucks and spray so much better than stock ones

New nozzles are great - they SPRAY rather than STREAM. :)

The stock nozzles are stream type, the newer Subaru ones (and replacements from auto stores) USUALLY use a fan-type spray. Better coverage.

just dont buy 3rd gen ones they are not adjustable and spray anywhere they want or feel like lol, i got mine from autozone they are Pilot brand universal nozzles and where a whooping 4.49 plus tax lol

Ended up taking apart the entire system from the T back, seems the the regulator valve was stuck shut so I just sprayed air down it, and pushed a piece of wire down it carefully to clean out any debris. Works like new! Thanks for the advice.
