Okay so i have a 03 BE and sometimes when starting from a stop i put it in first and while i let the clutch out just as it grabs and the car starts moving theres a squealing/ squeaking sound. it sounds like its coming from the trans more towards the motor. happens starting up hill, down hill, or flat. any ideas?

well start with the basics....belts etc...the next thing i can think of is your throw-out bearing getting worn out.
could you give more details, have your friend listen when you pull out, what did he notice?
is it in all gears?
does it do it when cold? hot?

I'm 100% sure it is your pilot bearing. Mine did the same thing. It only makes the sound when the clutch is disingaged, even if it is only slightly disengaged, and the transmission input and flywheel are not spinning at the same speed.
I just replaced my clutch and a few of the ball bearings were missing inside the pilot bearing so it was definatly the cause.

Yea its deff coming from the trans i was thinking throw out bearing, it only happens sometimes not all the time, hot or cold. only thing is i mean i dont know if this matters or not but the clutch kit (throw out bearing, pilot bearing, clutch, and flywheel) only have 25k on it. could the bearings still fail like that?

If the TO bearing wasn't installed correctly, or was inferior quality, or parts were contaminated by dust etc... things can fail. 25k is a bit premature unless you've been hammering on the driveline with launches or hard shifts.

i mean ammco put the clutch in so i would expect them to know the right way and things to do. and im not nescesarily hard on my trans its getting flakey with fifth gear. i guess ill just have to get someone to look at it if it gets any worse.
