Can projector fogs be retrofitted in to the headlights?

This may or may not be a dumb question.. But ive been feeling creative lately... I might be getting a different bumper, so my fog lights wont work with that one... So im curious, can I efficiently retrofit the projector foglights into my headlight housing?

Interesting thought. I wonder if you could use Bi Xenon in one area then put projector fogs in the other?

I'd imagine the beam pattern would be wrong, but you could do it. My friend Florin took Audi TT headlight projectors and put them into his stock housings, as well as audi foglight projectors into his lower turn signals.

There are a couple of guys that have done this with the Acura projectors. What kind of bumper are you getting that the Jdm projectors wont fit. The Jdms fit the Outback bumper/hood, Legacy GT bumper/hood, and the Jdm bumpr/hood.

httrd - the OP says projector FOGS. Not headlights. Fogs INTO headlight housings...just the projector part.

This CAN be done with massive amounts of cutting, grinding, glue/epoxy

The problem with the fog projectors is they have the side bulb meant to light up corners when entering them at night... This will most likely blind other drivers if mounted in the headlight assembly.

Also another issue you will run into is the Hi/Low beam function unless you retro fit a dual-filiment bulb but again the beam patter as discussed above will be way off.

i am all for modifying but why cut open perfectly good fogs when you can source proper projectors for the same price from subaru or lexus, acura, etc..

Yeah...i just remembered the bulb thing... I might just get some projector headlights and play around with them

Personally I'd just make up a bracket for the new bumper and relocate the fogs... Or install them in the rear bumper for super awesome reverse light...

Heresmymind did it. I just ran across a thread on HIDPlanet where he said this "I have FXr's in my lows and Lexues es300 fogs in my highbeam slot". You might want to talk to him about it. So it has been done.

Well, I might be getting the outback bumper.. Idk, I actually have a gt bumper I could get, and with some work, it would be presentable. Im probably just going to go that route
