So I have a couple questions on the install of these flaps. I have a 01 BH. Can you just screw them in all four? or do you need to make mounts on the back tires.

By design regardless of the trim level your purchased your car has 3 holes that are ment for factory mud gaurds.
When you buy the R/A universal flaps they have no holes so just mark the spots drill a hole in the flap and get some screws from your local h/w store or go to subaru if you want to be fancy about it.
Also these flaps don't work well with the factory mud guards.... so its either 1 or the other.

I installed my RA's on top of the stock mudflaps, and they work great.

maybe I am thinking of the JDM aero guards..
Either way heres a DIY for a GC but its the same on all models.

Thanks for the answer. How bog of a space should there be between the bottom of the flap and the ground?

Its up to you but more then 3" for sure... Remember these will take a beating if you fly over speed bumps with low clearance flaps...
Compare other cars that have them mounted and just use good judgment.

a couple of zippy screws and my R/A universal mud flaps are good! Trust me they are so cheap just buy another set and replace them when they go bad!!!
