I'm pretty sure my GFs car (99 imp 2.5 RS ) is leaking externally, but I would like confirmation incase I'm crazy before i tear it all apart. It hasn't over heated at all, but it's losing coolant and oil.

Just pressure test the cooling system and spray some soapy water around the head gasket area, you might want to do this with engine first cold and then a hot. Although it doesn't look like you're leaking much but maybe test will show a little seapage.

smell a new bottle of coolant and then compare it to the coolant in your reservoir, if the head gaskets are blown, you will be able to smell the hydrocarbons in the coolant. One symptom of blown headgaskets is hydrocarbons in the cooling system which builds up and sort of explodes out the reservoir. Makes many people think they have a coolant leak or cooling system failure because it also can cause collapsed hoses and what not. Do a pressure test. If it is head gaskets you want to catch it before the heads get warped.
