What to do with IACV on supercharge build (w/ TB re-locate)

Hello gents,

I have been wondering this for a bit. What should I be doing with the IACV? I'll be using an M62 that has it's own Throttle Body, so I'm going to remove the throttle plate from the OEM and plug the TPS into the supercharger's TB. My question is, what am I supposed to do with the IACV? Should I just leave it in the OEM throttle body? Does it, in any way, control the second throttle cable (i.e. the one used for cruise control)?

What car do you have?

That will be the first step in determining what to do with the IACV. I say that because the older manifolds from the Phase I engines have a separate IACV that has its own hose that you can just plumb into the the intake, but the newer SOHC engines have the IACV built into the TB, in which case, you'll have to do something totally custom.

In any case, the IACV does not actually control the throttle cable.

Also, if you could post pictures of your TB and SC, that would be helpful.

Hey, thanks for being so prompt, and you've already given me the answer (I think). To install the IACV into the intake. But is that post or pre-TB?

And I've got a 98, DOHC legacy outback. Boosted, t'will be brilliant, I hope.

Ah, you have the same kind of IACV that I do. the one that sits on the left side of the intake manifold, with a hose running out of it. It must be run pre-TB, and post-MAF.
