Well i have been planning on redoing the headliner for quite some time now but when i tried to remove it it wont drop out like expected. I have already removed all of the trim, lights, visors, handles, etc. so figured it would just drop out but no it just stays up there. so what do i need to do to get it out? any help is appreciated.

did you remove all the clips?
1) Remove room mirror, room light, sun visor and assist grip.
2) Remove front pillar upper, center pillar upper, rear quarter upper and rear rail trim.
3) Using ST, remove clips and then detach roof trim. (ST is special tool '925580000 PULLER')
looks like 11 clips.

^^This is similar to the OEM puller, but this one only costs ~$10 at any auto parts store.

Thanks guys but still no luck :-( . i got the front half to come down and i looked back in there with a light. i found 2 self tapping screws on the driver side attaching it to the roof and on on the passenger side. Im going this is not factory.

I think the previuos owner was doing work on the sunroof and did this. That's what I hate about used cars is when you get people messing with their car and they don't know what they are doing.
