best spark plugs

what do you guys use for spark plugs? anyone recommend something real good? for my BE idk when the last time the plugs were changed.

I like my NGK ones a lot. I think i got them at autozone. Starts super fast now. I did wires also.

well seems as Subaru dealerships give you NGK i would go with those. From what i have been learning about spark plugs and subarus dont run anything else... as you can see from the other posts above.

yea, i wouldn't go that long on the V-powers, i have always heard 10-15k for copper plugs if you want to get the best performance out of them.

Don't get the high mileage platinum plugs - you really should just change out your plugs at the manufacturer's interval, and many people have had problems with the platinums in Subarus.

I just did my plugs last week on my 97 Outback.

May the designer that put the DOHC engine between those frame rails rot in hell.

It took me 3 hours to change 4 plugs. I have big hands and they are covered in cuts. I took out the battery, Windsheild washer container and the airbox.

^ be glad you don't have a flat 6, you need to lift the engine to get to the back 2, I think the book calls for pulling the engine lol

Part of the trick to doing the DOHC motor is having the correct length extension, and then switching to a different extension before you totally run out. Yeah I don't get it either, the SOHC fits so much better - there's enough room between the rails to even pull the heads!

If you have the perfect-sized extensions, and you're good, DOHC spark plugs are a 45 minute job.

I guess I will have to look for different extensions. Mine were either too long or too short and the u-joint didn't work very well either.

depends on the flat 6 i guess...

with the eg33 in my legacy it took me about an hour to do all 6 without removing the battery or the washer bottle... and that includes unbolting and messing with the COPs.

Asking about the best spark plug is like asking about the best oil... It's a matter of opinion, nobody knows this answer.

^ naw, i don't think its as bad as the oil debate, since spark plugs have different materials and constructions there actually is substantial differences between types, pros and cons for each.

Yes pros and cons, but we all have our own reasons for using certain spark plus. Some people will go with copper plugs for conductivity, some platinum for long life etc. You can't tell me one stands out to be the best over all.

Is anybody have tried E3 sparkplug..?? All the reviews on Speed tv are really good.. but its tv..!
on the other side im running Bosh platinium +4 plugs and it goes really smooth..
