Iv been thinking for a while now about getting an alarm. Not that my car is really important to thiefs but I do have a few hundred into my stereo, and I would like to keep anything else in there safe, especially that everything not in the trunk is in plain view without window tint. Plus having remote start, and keyless entry would be amazing. Anyway if I get one Ill most likely get the Viper 5901, found it for 250$ shipped, and Amazon might even be cheaper, and it has great features. From a quick Google search and reviews it doesnt seem to hard to install, but any insight from someone that has done an install before would be great

Amazon has it for $205  Less then half from viper themselves. Should be pretty strait forward and come with wiring diagrams.

pretty straight forward, if you wired a stereo before you can wire your own alarm. you can go online and print out where the wires are located for your car to be connected. the hardest part is looping the other wires and making the install clean.

I just installed a Python 991 on Sunday and it was pretty straight forward. Just make sure you get the right wiring diagram... spent 2 hours trying to find wires that didn't exist. lol.

Yeah I did my alarm a year or so ago, it takes forever trying to use a Haynes manual wiring diagram, however using the information here (http://www.angelfire.com/fang/doofusboy ... legacy.pdf (http://www.angelfire.com/fang/doofusboy9/Keyless/97legacy.pdf)) it is quite easy. Just use the list of which wires are where and it will be a cinch.

it was cake, i had an oem alarm in it for 2 weeks and got annoyed with it and went and installed a DEI alarm and remotte starter. easiest install ever. my mercedes and volvo were much more complicated.
