Here it is, folks- My 1990 Miata. As the thread title says, it is my weekend and autocross car. I won my class (STS2) in the KY region in '05 using this setup, minus the LSD. It rides like shit and handles like a dream. I love it.

Modifications include:
-ACT Xtreme Clutch disc
-KY Clutch PP & TOB
-JDM Mazda B6ZE 1.6L 'Big Nose' Engine (No power increase, just a better crank design)
-Mazda OEM Viscous LSD (Just rebuilt and installed 2/25/06)
-Koni 'Yellow' adjustable struts
-Falken Azenis RT-215 Tires
-Racing Beat Intake
-Mazda OEM Removable Hardtop
-'99 Miata soft top w/ glass rear window
-Aiwa Head Unit
-40GB iRiver Media Player ;)

Nice, I have always kinda wanted a Miata... or atleast to drive one and see what they are like.

If handling is high on your list of priorities, drive one. You'll want it.

Thanks for the comments, yo.

I'd rock one, if I could boost it. I'd also do sleepy eyes. I think they're a simple appearing car that doesn't take much to look good from everything I've read a fun ride to boot. But, snow+light RWD car and convertible at that, not so good.

does the lsd really help? I wouldn't think that the car would have the power to make it faster with the diff. I also can't imagine why it would ride poorly, its got stock springs, right? Do you just never crank back the struts?

Totally awesome car, im jealous as hell. Wish i could fit into those things better. :(

The LSD does help. Even with only 115-120HP, you run into traction issues when autocrossing in a ~2000lb car. And yes, it rides poorly because I have the struts set where I want them, after tweaking and tweaking and tweaking at races last year. I won't be changing the setting until I get my Ground Controls, which should be soon.

Yeah, you're a little taller than me...i wonder how I'd fit in one...legroom would be the issue, as I'm not very wide though

I'm 5 11 and have no issues whatsoever. A friend of mine that used to race Miatas (has since moved on to Elises) is ~6 3 and fits. As is the case with most things, don't assume that you can't 'till you've tried.

PS: I can't believe that some people still make fun of these things. Oh well, let the haters hate.
