Been searching the forums for a while but having a tough time finding what I want. Iv heard alot about H&R springs, Eibach springs if you can find them, and KYB struts. I would like to lower my car a little, but not too much, just get rid of the gap, but how much depends on whatever wheels I finally find. I like that my car is high enough to not hit anything like parking curbs, but I would like it to look a little better without going too low (I do occasionally drive on bad roads) and my struts are pretty shot and most likely the originals, so Im looking to replace those soon, figured if I wanted to lower it at all it would be good to do it at the same time. So whats out there to do a pretty mild drop?

I have a nice mild drop:
KYB GR2 struts
King Springs Low (drops 30-40mm)

I like the look, but it seems those are a little pricey and hard to find right?

I guess so - the struts were $220 for 4 on ebay (jdmwerks13) and I bought all new top-hats from Subaru for them.
I brought the King Springs Low back from New Zealand with me (vacation trip) for a cost of US$200.
Installation was free (me and a buddy), and I reused anything not broken on the old setup.
Alignment was $40.

Shipping on the springs is what kills you though, because most importers are bringing them direct from Australia or New Zealand. I might pick up another set in October when I'm back in NZ for a break.

It is what it is - it's a perfect drop, completely level and the ride is fine even on the crappy streets of Cleveland. Highway cruising is same as stock, but without the boat-like swaying when changing lanes. This is with stock swaybars too. What I like about Kings is that they make springs for pretty much every engine configuration for the BD/BK/BG chassis. No one else did/does that. Everyone else makes a generic set that "works" or is adapted from a GC, GD or SF.

That's pretty much what I thought. Guess I'll be on the lookout for some used ones and probably also looking for some H&R. Those are listed as only 1.25 drop up front which I can live with, and Iv seen pictures of them on they don't look too low.

I always thought the drop of the Eibachs was comparable to the Kings. I think the H&Rs are a little lower and the back seems to sag on a lot of vehicles. Others will disagree and that's fine.

I think there's a fella selling a set of used Eibachs in the classifieds. If I had a sedan I'd snap those up.

Iv been looking into those too. I just checked and they are still available. I haven't heard much about them but I assume they are just as good and ride nice like Kings or H&R
