I posted on Nasioc about a midwest, all-legacy meet, and got some definite bites! Since the this summer is drawing ever closer, I figured we should start getting definite plans together for a Midwest SLi meet :)

But I'd like all further discussion to take place here as this is an SLi event (and it's for Legacies more than anything, Nasioc is still the North American Subaru Impreza...yeah, yeah...).

Meet is planned for July 8th, 2006 @ Lacrosse, WI

specifics aren't set, although I was looking at grandad's bluff, a very neat place overlooking LaCrosse and the Mississippi.

If it isn't a rediculously long drive and I still have the Legacy... I may have to make the trip. I've been to MSP and the Wisconsin Dells before but I can't remember how long it took to get there.

it would be about a 550 mile journey to my house from your area (you're near cincinatti, right?). I know that because I have family in Ohio (cinci, dayton, and columbus).

Well, it happened. It rained, but it was fun. I've got pics, processing now.

okay, now my time for pictures (it took a while to get them down to a decent internet friendly size..):

We got a decent crowd, 5 Legacys (well, 3 outbacks, 2 legacys) and a GC RS.

Mike (vitai0) came from Appleton and met up with me so we could caravan on out to LaCrosse

We met at the Target:

Eat at Perkins, which was right by where we parked. shot the ish for a while, talking about cars, etc. Then we decided to get moving, and went up to the bluffs.

Me and Choung were "street racing". We did a little spirited accel. up to the speed limit, and just as we got to it, a cop went right by...nice timing. I definitely said holy sh*t a couple of times :lol:

We parked in the parking lot, about 500 feet above LaCrosse. Yes, the gravel was well dug up after these pictures :twisted:

At this point it started raining. So we went up to the shelter and looked at the amazing view. It's not nearly as good on a .jpg as it is in person. And the rain didn't help.

It was fun! I'm glad I finally got to meet other people with the same passion in cars as me! It was a great way to spend my 19th B-day :D
