HELP! ways to brighten up my headlights (bd)

Hey guys I have been struggling with this problem. I have already cleared my headlights by buffing, and I just replaced the bulbs with the best ones Autozone had. But the problem is that when I'm driving home on a dark road the lights seem dull to most other cars. Idk if converting them to HIDs would help at all, or if theres a special way to make them "magically" brighter. If anyone has other options I could do without dropping a lot of $$$$$ lemme know! thanks

Well if you don't have Jdm headlights yet you should defiantly go that route.

Generally....
Stage 0: cleaning and polishing stock headlights, installing decent bulbs based on beam pattern and overall lumens
Stage 1: JDM projectors
Stage 2: JDM projectors + HID upgrade
Stage 3: JDM projector housings and retro fit LHD appropriate projector lenses
Stage 3.5: Rare Morette-made housings w/ Hella lenses

ok. do JDM projectors use the same bulbs as the OEM? If so I'll be on the lookout for some!

Or a cheaper route, the 2 piece headlights like the 98s have, have a clear/smooth lense. Youd have to change the bulb type/wiring, but its super easy

i recommend getting the German Osram Nightbreakers thats what i have and they are brighter then any regular lightbulb I have ever seen.

Well I think I might start looking for some projectors, because my driver side headlight has an attachment broken off, and it has begun to fog up on the inside, so I will just search on eBay. Anybody know anyone that is selling and or getting rid of a set of JDM Projectors?

^and before you all say to ask yama for parts, I'd rather not bother him since the terrible events that has happened over in Japan. I know he's ok but I just would like him to worry about other things besides mailing stuff overseas!

just remember that the lighting is ground switched, 1 12v source and 2 switched ground wires

on that note...
stage 0.5: secondary relay installed, lets you get a cleaner ground so a little more voltage can make it to the lights

you provide secondary ground via the relay

+1 on the osram nightbreakers... I love them. But then again, I have them in my JDM projectors...

I bought mine from Motivemods.com I looked all over and he was definitely the cheapest. They came in about 4 days. I got a set of H1 (low beam) and a set of H3 (high beam).


Get the projectors first...

Projectors with OEM bulbs will be WAAAYYYY better than your current headlights with the nightbreakers.
