Hey everyone, my name is James and I'm from Raynham, MA.

I have owned a 2002 WRX for several years and have recently finished a UK300 tribute/conversion to it.

Two weeks ago my life was forever changed with the arrival of a beautiful baby daughter. I decided that the WRX sedan wasn't practical and lacked the room needed for the baby and all of her gear, so I purchased a 1998 Subaru Legacy GT. My WRX has been retired to a weekend car.

I've completely fallen in love with the Legacy. Inspired by the JDM/EDM/Aussie GTB models, I plan on bringing the new car to perfect mechanical condition, and converting the exterior. I've learned a lot in the past few days lurking on this awesome forum. I tend to move quickly when messing with a new Subaru. I've already purchased an L7 grille and a set of JDM side markers. Monday of next week the car will go to the body shop to take care of some rust in the rear quarters. I work at a Subaru dealership, so by the end of next week the car should be mechanically sound, and then the fun will begin.

Here is my WRX/UK300 Tribute. I've kept the motor stock for the last 150k miles save for a "Stage 2" retune and some exhaust bits. The transmission is a Ver 4 STI 4.44 five speed, which I believe was also offered in the GTB models. It also features Group N brakes and Prodrive aero goodies.

Here is the new Legacy! The car is dark green with a black leather interior, and five speed transmission. I'll be sure to make a gallery thread as the car will be updated and upgraded extensively in the next few months.

Happy motoring!

ahoy from the north shore! love the impreza that looks sweet, and gratz on the new baby. Im currently in the process of picking up another GT to replace the 98 that I have now, been nothing but probs for me. But sounds like you and I have similar plans, excluding the exterior conversion. Welcome to the club and hope to have you join us on our next big meet that we do annually in the summer ^_^
