Is it possible for me to do a direct bypass of it and eliminate it and one clutch hose or do I have to replace the master and slave?

I just did a clutch and flywheel install on my 97BG and need to know if I can get rid of the clutch operating cylinder and just have one clutch hose going from the master to the slave rather than one hose from the master to the operating cylinder and then a second hose running from the operating cylinder to the slave. I'm not sure if its the same as a hill holder but its the cause of the sticky clutch pedal according to Subaru. Would it be bad to eliminate the operating cylinder? Here is the thread on the sticky clutch pedal. https://sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=3404

I took mine off when I was in class last week and then took it apart. Don't really see the purpose of it and neither did my instructor. I'll be getting my hose by tomorrow or Monday. Gonna do it in class on Wednesday for one of the projects.
