Thinking about running a glass pack for the summer. I developed an exhaust leak and am taking it back to get fixed. While it's there thinking of taking the vibrant street power off and throwing in a glass pack for a bit.

So if your running them then post up some clips. I can get a cherry bomb from work for $29 but thinking about going old school and doing a smithy's for $39. ether way it's getting painted flat black before install.

I also figure this will make a good sound thread for glass packs. I'll upload some clips i found.

I have one, but no sound clips :< I'm rather fond of it, and apparently my auto-inclined friends think it sounds decent (which pleases me as it was free).

get a clip. I figure it'll be worth a go. gunna go with a 12 in one as I will keep my 12in resonator in there as well.

That second video sounded pretty decent, but the first was far too ricey and obnoxious.

UEL header, stock cats, 2.5" cat back, cherry bomb, cheap N1 style muffler. Im having a HFC pipe made monday and I have a better muffler so it will sound different. If I have any sound clips it would be in my members ride thread.

Meh, not my favorite sounding exhaust. Actually makes the subie kind of ricey IMO, which is hard to do.

Im fond of my HKS.

You should have seen the plan for my exhaust for the Q45 I had. It would have sounded dirty, people would hate me... Damn I wish I kept it lol

I have 2 glasspacks but they are for quiet purposes. I will be getting my vibrant street power put on with them, no cat just UEL-2"piping-glasspack-glasspack-stock muffler, soon to be not stock muffler. I'll put up a vid when its done. should be today.

I think UEL- 2.5" piping-cherrybomb-vibrant tpv would be the best sounding suby

Pretty much, true dual 3" with two turret bombs and instead of cats I was going to uses pair of their "mufflers" and end it with actual cherry bombs. 4.5L madness lol

oh s@#t, you got that? I was so close to going that rout:) it just seems like such a perf mach for a suby. or a v8 for that matter, that was my reasoning (no pun intended) if it works for a v8 rumble it will word for a suby rumble.

if i went with tpv it would be uels 2.25 piping vibrant resonator and then tpv. I already have a full custom exhaust just want it loud for a bit so jsut swapping out mufflers.

same as "resonators" glasspack is packed with fiberglass to absorb the raspy sound from exhaust. cherry bombs are glasspacks with "chamber" style inside to enhance the thud of the sound, they are intended for v8's to enhance the boom boom.

The original cherry bombs aren't chambered. Their cherry bomb brand mufflers are. A cherry bomb is a glass pack straight through design. But instead of just a tube with holes in it like common resenators the cherry bomb has little "scoops". Cherry bombs will sound better than any other common resonator.

:o Aweosme!

I was tired of the raspy sound when I had my exhaust. So note to self. When I pick up my next one, get one of those too. lol

I'm getting sick of my stock muffler.... ran a glasspack on my Neon and two of them on my Crown Vic, might need to try one on the Wagoon since its the cheapest of all exhaust choices.

Unless someone wants to give me a free STi muffler, or something.
