I am going to be attempting to replace my Rear Diff fluid this week and the only way I can see it possible to fill it properly is to get a pump to pump the new fluid in.

I have tried a cheap $4-5 one at Wal-mart made by penzoil I believe. Anyone have a pump they have USED that can transfer this thick oil?

Why don't you want to do it the "normal" way? Drain it through the bottom plug and fill it to the brim of the top plug?

If you are only looking to fill it use a turkey baster, it may take awhile longer than using a pump but it is way cheaper.

I am not sure how you guys manage to get the bottle to tilt that much?

Loosen lower drain plug. Remove top plug. Position drain pan. Remove lower drain plug. Let drain.

Replace lower drain plug. Take new gear oil bottle and position nearby on the ground. Take your $5 hand pump from harbor freight and put the inlet tube in the diff.

Pump until oil starts to drip from the top drain plug - it is now full. Replace top drain plug

they make one that attaches to the top of the bottle, like a soap/shampoo dispenser with a hose on it. available anywhere.
