View Full Version : Prosecuting Street Racing - the California Way
http://youtube.com/watch?v=NCyMkB0uMeg - A training video for California Police on identifying and prosecuting people driving modified vehicles. Gotta love the logic at the end of the video - make it illegal to modify vehicles, so we can reduce street racing and save lives. Problem is, a C6 Corvette can probably beat that blue Civic in a street race. Or you can street race a Chevrolet Aveo for all anyone cares.

Someone posted this video on my local forum a few days ago. I watched it and got pissed. I say we sink California and get it over with. Seriously. And no, this is not the only reason.

Meh, why should you care? They go after rice rockets the majority of the time anyway. As long as your car has a professional appearance, and you're not doing anything stupid, they probably won't mess with you. Besides its california, they're a bit crazy. If you get caught street racing your car is crushed. I like that. Of course, they have mexicans who live in mexico working in california, who drive on california roads with vehicles that shouldn't do more than 10mph cruising down the highway. I personally think this is much scarier than the street racer, especially since they both do the same type of weaving through traffic. Round here in CO, the cops don't seem to crack down on the tuners too much, and usually the ones they do crack down on, were speeding or doing something careless in the first place.
