I realize they have extra sensors, but it shouldn't be a problem if I just don't plug them in?

i really don't see why not.
my neighbour didn't have a probelm with fitting his JDM STi Ver 7 seats in his 98.

What about the rears?

no idea there.
are you trying to fit sedan seats into a wagon? the fronts are definitely not an issue, but i have to wonder about the rears.

Exactly. Maybe I'll still buy the rears and just take the material off of them and reupolster mine.

I'm pretty darn sure everything bolts in, but you lose the ability to fold down seats if you use sedan seats.

I don't suppose they make rear seats in the STI trim for a wagon do they?

Sedan seats are NOTHING like wagon seats.
They won't fit, not at all.
Anyway. Just have the stock rears retrimmed to match. Cheaper and easier than flubbing around with OEM stuff, and you'll retain whatever function you had.

So should I just buy the material and go from there?
Second question, what door panels will fit a 98 gt. I need to replace mine anyways and was wondering if any of the blue/black sti's ones will fit my car.

I highly doubt it. Read through the DIY section, there's a nice thread in there about that sort of thing ;)

^^yes, he definitely is.
But I don't get that, Nasioc members talk about swapping wagon rears in all the time for the fold down feature...hmmm... :?

WRX seats front & rear fit in w/o any problems. A friend who has a '98 GT exactly like mine (sedan) did a WRX interior swap and said nothing had to be modified at all. So if you get a WRX to STi front & back comparison, then it will work.

Right, but I have a wagon and I need STI seats for my rear.......

STi seats are just WRX seats with different fabric. Not going to work, STi rear seats do not fold down like your wagon seats do since they come from a sedan.

I'm going to have to look into this. The seats in my 96 Legacy are looking rather rough. Actually, they all look fine except the drivers seat. I think a fat-ass owned the car before me and had all the foam in the drivers seat crushed. Now it's all lumpy. Not cool.

Forgot to mention, the airbag sensor on the drivers seat does NOT mate up to the factory harness. However, even after installed I did not get a airbag alarm on the dash.

course, not, it's for the side air bag.
at least that's how it is on my 02 WRX seats.
