Emergency Brake Pad Replacement

When I was doing my brake conversion a few weeks ago I noticed that I should probably change my E-Brake pads. It is a drum setup I know that. I don't even know where to begin or what to buy.

I looked on google and did a quick search here but "Emergency Brake" only uses the key word Emergency on the site.

I am just asking how to replace the shoes I guess or what is the right way to go about replacing the "E-Brake Pads"?

I did a WRX brake swap. Nothing with the hubs. I just noticed it when I took off the rear rotor.

If you are not driving around with parking brake on they will outlast your car, why do you need to change them?

I will take pictures when I get back under there. They don't engage till I pull the E-brake to the top. There looked to be a chunk missing. They screech like a mofo too.

So adjust the cable.

First try adjusting the cable at the lever as was mentioned earlier. If you take out the center console there is a threaded rod with a nut on it that connects the lever to the cable. By turning the nut you can adjust the point where the brake engages.
Then if the parking brake doesn't hold the car on a moderate hill you should look into replacing the shoes.
And what do you mean whey you say they screech. They always screech no matter what, engaged or disengaged? Or they screech when they are engaged and you are moving? Because I wouldn't worry if they only screech when you are moving because they are not meant to operate like that. The main thing is whether they hold the car or not.

And the screech is just from the cable I believe.

if cable is already adjusted to the max, there is a second method, looking at the brakes from inside side of the car there is a rubber plug in the dust shield remove it and you will see this sprocket like wheel its an adjuster as well this will make the pads bite on like third or fourth click mine now goes up only 75% and holds the car very well.
